I was more comparing a new Ion (120 ish) to what's available on the 2nd hand market. After you've bought a new trigger, feedneck and ASA (required IMHO) the cost isn't quite as apealing.

hey dude. i have 2 immpys at the moment, one slightly upped and the other upped to the max. very relaible guns and has same upgrades like an ion including a black heart board, fast guns once upped. is ure choice m8 what gun you go for because smart parts guns in general are really gud guns. hope this helps.stu.

decided to go down the angel route intead!
This will no doubt get lots of tutting from all the smart parts fans but decided to get a speed and a back-up ir3 as they look cool and are pretty good guns! Been keen on getting an angel and it makes sense to have my backup gun the same make as my main 1!

I think i probably would have found the ion a bit too plastic- unless it had a metal kit and lots of ups and then you may as well buy a tonton!!!!!!
