how do i adjust the presure in the ion ( that is registerd by the dial ) i have a cp reg if that helps?

Adjust your reg. Instructions should have been provided with it. Haven't owned a CP reg for a while, but a believe the adjustment is done with an allen key on the side of the reg.
Don't turn the input pressure up above 200psi or you may blow hoses in the gun. Refer to your Ion manual for the correct operating pressure.

Other way around I think, but as I said, I haven't use a CP reg in some time. Watch the gauge as you adjust - you should see it change immediately.
Its a bolt under the reg...the hand grip thing.
