an 05 ego, or angel speed 05. The speed is cheaper and much better value, and the ego is the current "in-vogue" gun.

u should see what price range you have, then see what is about.

cockers are good, still and yes elecro one have been out for ages, and now they have been superseeded by the ego in planets eyes. but none the less, still a viable option for woods and suppair.

pm/dm good guns, but dont like cold weather too much

ego's are great rock solid, maybe a little harsher than paint than dm's.

impulse were good in there day but that day passed when the shocker became popular.

my personal opinion is go for an ego, there are some bargains about now, and will be better bargains around if planet release a new one for 07.

other than that an ion is a fairly decent starter marker that u can build up with time.

A return to paintball

I started playing again at the start of the year after a 10-13 year gap! When I last played proper The golden eagle blowback had just come out and it was the size of a bazooka (whenever that was?)
Anyway my shock of today’s kit clearly was greater and it took a while (in fact I’m still learning) to get my head around the new stuff.

The setup I plumed for was based on ‘if’ I wanted to upgraded in the future the cost would be minimal ….. So I got an Ion, Halo B, micro max flow and 1.1 air bottle, sure I’ve bought a few extras for the ion, barrel kit and a Q-lock feed neck, hasn't cost much. I’m now at the point were I fancy a new marker, with any luck I should just be able to purchase one and use the same hopper and air system without much fuss.

Paul

Think i need to save the money for some new knees!

Cheers for the help guys,

As far as air systems go, is the difference between a 4500psi bottle and 3000 psi bottle, just that the 4500psi bottle stays at operating pressure for longer? Or is this dictated by the size of bottle, eg 1.1l? Or combination of the two?
