I agree there shouldnt be a "min100"post b4 u can sell or buy things, but there should b a trusted sell/trader points system or somethin similar to wot the walkonzone has got, where people who have sold/bought items get a point for each transaction they make.

Yea on talkpaintball they have that sort of thing 'iTrader' seems like a good idea to me.

I fail to see how someone's ability to post random cr*p and talk complete b*llocks makes them a better trader.

I only have a low rating as I read threads for interest but rarely feel the need to prove my intellegence/ignorance by joining in...does this make me a bad person?

Mosy of my posts have been to make offers on or sell items and as far as I know no one has had a problem with me..but at least i was able to trade even with my lowly status.

But i do agree there needs to be a way of monitoring scammers...does the system log IP addresses so if there is a regular offeder thay can be blocked that way as well so they cant just hide behind a new name?

Just my tuppence worth.....ooh and post 22 only 78 to go until I am worthy!

yeh They do log IP addresses, and have used this to re-ban people(I.E.- WpG4Life)

Really like the idea of points for buying/selling instead of a minimum of 100 posts, because there's a lot of people that won't be able to trade for no good reason if they don't have 100 posts. If a seller doesnt have many points for trading then at that point it's up to the potential buyers to find people that can vouch for the seller. I don't have a high post count but I have a lot of people that could vouch for me.

A good idea, but perhaps 100 posts is a bit steep? Maybe 25 or 50 would be better.

my post count isnt very high because i dont post in any section other than the classifieds anymore as i very rarly have time to look let alone reply, but i have been arround the classifieds since i started the sport 3 years ago, does that mean im untrustworthy? ive delt with hundreds of people over the years and had no problems i am so far aware of.
Also another thing with the minimum posts thing if you have people with not many posts who want to become a seller or buyer you will started getting a load of **** posted in threads all over the forums, this will make more work for mods trying to get rid of the crap.
The points system is good, i like that, think that will be the better idea but wouldnt you need to have plus and minus points, kinda like ebay possitive and negative tally? the reason i say this is because what if someone is a really bad trader and doesnt send goods or is a time waster, people wont know this because his score will remain zero and he could pawn himself off as a first time buyer, atleast if he starts getting negatives people will be aware of it.

But at the end of all this, what is wrong with a good old feedback thread? does the same job really, just get everyone you trade with to leave feedback, jobs a gudden.

It could solve a few problems if everyone could have a feedback thread instead of just platinum members.
