Just been Matrix owners, here is the exact post from Dave Youngblood:

Yes we have developed a products that will be competitive with markers that retail for $400.00 and under. It is called the Proto Matrix Rail (PMR) and we will be shipping them to customers around November 1st.

Thanks

Dave

Notice the 'Matrix' in the name, I hope it's spool-valve based.

Original Matrix's didn't have LPRs, I'm wondering if that's the way Dye have gone with the PMR to keep costs down?

as long as the pmr is reliable and easy to maintain all will be good for it

You aren't the only one! A budget Matrix sounds like an awsome idea.

If i were to speculate I would say that it would be something based off the PM5 or DM3, perhaps without an LPR or something along those lines wrapped up in a body that will be stylish but not extensively milled.

I am probably completely wrong though, i think all should be revealed in the next couple of weeks! :p
