:) Hello there im getting into Speedball/Recball crossed this X-mas im getting a ION...

Now i would like to know from ION owners what should be a MUST GET for my new ion and what problems happen often with the gun... and what to do to fix these errors.

Thanks very much

A very popular upgrade is a new feedneck - Such as a Q-Lock clamping feedneck - The stock one isn't great and a clamping feed will hold your hopper/loader much tighter.

As for other upgrades, its really up to you - Best to get it, try it then decide what you think needs changing. A lot of people opt to upgrade the trigger so they can "walk" it faster, but its personal choice and you may feel content with the stock one.

On my Ion I also have a QEV (Quick Exhaust Valve) to increase efficiency, but this isn't vital, and also an on/off for the air supply.

Keep them clean and lubed up and they work fine. Get spares like ball dents etc. It is best to upgrade your neck as the stock ones are very tight.

Also found if you have standard board it is best to take the batteries out after your finished with them, saves battery drain. Get a few spare screws in case you loose them, when doing this.

Bar that i touch wood have never had any problems with them. We have over 20 as back ups and hire stock.

MUST get = q lock - to hold your hopper lower in your gun and to make sure ANY hopper you get will fit on it.

smart parts 360 QEV - will give you more shots per tank.

some sort of on/off system - will save your o rings on your bottle and bring the gun a bit closer to you making it more comfy.

good things to get but not a must = new trigger - cp sling blade or cp rake triggers are both brilliant.

Fire bolt - more shots per tank and could stop you breaking as many balls.

new barrel - freak or dye ultralite are both brilliant

hmmmm very true feed neck a deffo id advise a new barrel freak jnr if your not looking to spend to much increases accuracy and is 10 times betta than stock barrel.
Again it is kinda down to opinion, but I find the stock barrel to be fine in terms of accuracy and aftermarket barrels do cost a fair bit...£20-30. You could get a new trigger and feedneck for this price (from Classifieds).
