Am I the only one? Or maybe I'm just plain weird?

I just cant help it.

When someone asks me if I'm 'paintballing' this weekend it really winds me up

I tend to say, 'I've got paintball on Sunday' or words to those effect but it really grates on me when people say 'paintballing'.

Does anyone else have the same condition as me or am I unique?

I try not to tell people that I play paintball as I can be bothered to explain super air anymore. It always generates stupid questions like "have you got your own gun?...I bet its well powerfull!!!"

Does ballin' have the same effect ? I think its a bit more american to say "to play paintball" rather than "paintballing" so it may sound a little more pro if that makes any sense

with the "i bet its well powerful!!", i get that all the time at uni, ive just stopped telling people now. but with the "are you paintballing", doesnt bother me that much, i just tell em to shut up or i'll shoot ya.

I got no problem with the description of 'paintballing' being used, it's when they say, 'Oh yeh, I know paintball, that's where you dress up in army clothes and run around the woods shooting each other'.

That gets to me a little......
