Not as in farm field but proper sports field, like where the Euro 5 Man is to be held? How much carnage is caused by paint on the ground etc, and how is it cleaned up?

I was just surprised to see that the Euro 5 Man is being held on a stadium pitch. All the groundskeepers I know would chase you off with pitch forks if you got anywhere near their grass with a pball gun :).

Other reason I ask is that I used to work at a sports centre with a field in the middle of an athletics track, one that would be perfect for a tourney. If it turns out it's quite easy to clear up afterwards I'll start to see if I could get a tourney hosted there.

That's exactly the set-up at the Julie Rose Stadium in Ashford (Euro 5-man venue) - full sized minor international athletics track with grass in the middle. Warren has obviously done a good job of the clear-up in the past as he's been welcomed back year after year now.
Whether it's easy to clear up is another matter, and I know he spends a small fortune on clear-up crew both on the day & afterwards so cost could be a big factor in this.
