how do you remove the stock ion trigger?

do you have to knock the trigger pin through?
if so... how?

i use a thumb tack and a hammer, put the tack onto the end of the pin and tap it lightly so as not to break the tack, but it should pop the pin through all the same then just pull it from the other side... trigger should just pop out

Yep. Use a small allen key / pin punch / nail / rivet. something whoes diameter is slightly smaller than the pin.

Take care though as the pin is tapered (larger on one side than the other) so it needs to be knocked through from the side without the gauge on, avoiding smashing the gauge.

i thought it knocked through from the side with the gauge on it?!

when i did one it was gauge side down, it came through right to left facing the back of the marker

Thats how I did. Doesn't really matter a huge amount, but I think the non-gauge side has a little divet to position your thumb tack or whatever - Saves wearing down the edges of the pin hole.
