only why keep the 7 man format?
if we are going towards continous anyway.
So why not make div 1 and 2 (2&3) 5 man so the transition for teams to the continous play format will be smaller, games will be faster and shorter (most of the time).
You can then make M5 div 3 and play on the same fields as div 1 and 2 wich would be easier to organize (i think).
but this is just my opinion, maybe a lot of players really like the 7 man format.....
But a MS in Belgium! great, not able to go on my bicycle (as I was in Amsterdam) but still really close..GREAT!

Is there any reason not to run X Ball Lite with suitable gametimes for Div 1-3 and pros? Make the format the same for everybody (except maybe M5).

Multi-goal format is the way to go. Best for everyone involved. I'm not even sure a pan-European circuit should have single-goal 5-player.

Besides being a better format for players, promoters, specators and media, running X Ball Lite would line MS up with PSP for more possibilities of trans-Atlantic interchange.

And why not mirror-image NXL with an open X Ball competition? Make it the only NXL- EXL-type competition that is open to any team. Be great to see the Russians against Joy again because those mofos LOVE to play X Ball and might become a machine there too. Be great to get XSV, Rage, Dogs, Dynasty, Ironmen, etc. over here more consistently.

Make the competition the best possible and then worry about selling it.

Playing X-Ball lite in all div's would take a lot more time (more games) and also would cost the teams more in paint.
Therefore the series doesn't make as much money as less teams can afford to play because of the rise in costs for them to buy all the paint...

I would MUCH rather play X-Ball than 7-man thou... :D
