help a noob?

hi guys

im abit of a noob at the sport. and i was jus wondering what sort of googles and mask to get? i hear the thermal goggles are the best. but are they rele worth it? atm i am an umemployed scumbag so i dont rele have much money to spend. equiptment at low prices would be great!

You can pick up kit at low prices in the Classifieds Just make a thread stating what you want and someone should get back to you.

Goggles are the same as a mask, and there really is no best one to get - Just whichever you find to be most comfortable. Popular ones are the Dye Invision I3's or VForce Profilers, both of which you can get for about £25-30. A cheaper option would be the Dye Invisions - Older than the I3's but you can get them 2nd hand for £15-20.

A thermal lens in your goggles is a must - You really don't want to be steaming up in the middle of a game. All of the goggles stated above should come with a thermal lens so that shouldn't be a problem.

like lemonade says, invisions, i3s, profilers and proflexs are good all for about 20-30 quid of the classifieds

Sorry to say, the stock lenses in Proto Switch EL's probably has some special chemical applied to stop it fogging up but it isn't a proper thermal lens and is prone to fog up now and then.
