Over the weekend my DC2 was not firing as it should. I now know that the sear has been worn down so that it is not catching and making the marker fire.

Now should i simply by a replacement sear or send it to planet and get it serviced????

I know it costs about £40 for servicing but if i find out i need new parts that costs extra does it not??

Thanks.

i wouldnt say a cocker is like an EGO really. An EGO is open bolt, cocker is closed. An EGO uses a rammer, cocker uses a ram and hammer design. An EGO is purely driven by pnematics, where a cocker is sear controlled.

As for the original problem, i would get it sent for service and yes it will cost extra for parts. If the sear has worn down it could be down to incorrect setup in the first place, so its worth getting it all serviced and correctly aligned.....the cost really is worth it

Both Planet (nicky.t@planeteclipse.com) and Belsales (sales@belsales.co.uk) have sears for a DC2.

Yes, parts are extra, however you will get a call before any work is carried out.
