no it needs a 12 sided bolt, therefore requiring a socket

a 12 sided screwdirver (same as a torx or allen key) is placed into the centre of the bolt head to undo it. A socket grips around the outside edge of the bolt head to undo....therefore you need a socket

Im sure the valve tool will ALSO undo the frm bolt. I will look when I get home and if it will, I have one somewhere. Send me your addy and if I can find it, it is yours.

Valve tool normally won't indo it unless yours is different to mine... However, i have the tool needed.

It's a 1/4 inch socket with a long body so you can reach far enough into the FRM. I also have the adapter to convert it to standard socket set size.

If you want to borrow it let me know.

12 sided female socket wrench cup type thing is what i'm looking for..... I got coldy on the case checking his tool box and i got Callum (Judus) checking his work place for me.

I'll get it out lol

what i meant - i just expressed it like a 'special' kid; it's a 12 sided screw/knut, so you need a 12 sided removal tool, which they will have at auto shops.

What you're after

is a bi hexagonal socket, i have one, i'll take a look tomorrow and let you know what size it is.
I ran into the same problem when i was getting my cocker anodised.

What you need matey is a 1/4" 12 point socket, hard to come be individually usually found in sets.
If yours is a 15 Degree ASA / FRM your going to need a deep socket.

Spot on Stan.

It's just a standard imperial socket they come in 6 or 12 point. It just so happens you need a 12 point for this particular job.

I’m sure if you shop around you’ll find a cheaper make than SnapOn (or just borrow Stan's)
Just make sure the drive is going to fit the Ratchet your going to use.
