Been done over on the forum by bufflington, 2 months after the original transaction i recieve an ir3 which does not work. On closer inspection it appears the bits in the on off which press down on the nipple have been taken out.

After countless messages and attempts to get hold of him I think im screwed so thought would ask what the likely hood of getting these parts is.

Ideally i dont want to be buying a new on/off, would it be possible to use a stock one off an ion?

Cheers in advance

Can you take a pic so we know exactly what you're talking about please :)

If you talk to a tech for example Tom Allen, or maybe LIPs the shop, they may have what you need. Otherwise you might be able to repair it.
Get us a pic we might be able to help.

BTW I have had similar reports of Bufflington scamming people, others be warned, keep well away :(

Might help if you said what on/off it is, Angels never came with one so it must be an aftermarket one, I wouldn't put that pos duckbill off an ion any where near any gun, not even an ion!

Damnit, mis-read & thought you meant the on/off switch on the marker or something in which case I just found one you could have put on :D

If you mean the on/off which the air screws into, tell us what brand it is, and take a pic.

the bit which seems to be missing parts is circled.

Last bit of contact i got off him was that he was on holiday (with my money!)

bought a job lot of kit so got royally ripped off and unfortuantly do not trust the classifieds anymore, as mate got done by tiny tim.
That looks very much like a Checkit Unimount, great bit of kit.

Have you actually aired it up?

the knob winds in and pushes a needle like piece into the pin valve of your bottle.

The needle that opens the pin valve in your bottle will stay open if you wind the knob out without pressure behind it, you need to push it real hard to get it to go forward.

I've never known one to go wrong, the only parts I should think you might ever need are o-rings.

Don't loose heart with the classifieds, the majority of traders are honest and decent, check them out first, you and your mate just got unlucky.

Oh, and well done on your cup on Sunday!

He might have a challenge winding that knob to air it up.. as the knob is.. missing?

I've got a stock Impulse ASA thing that goes in the same place as that, it's not an on/off, but it has macroline elbow fitted and works just fine. You can have it for nothing if you need something just to air up your gun with.

yeah i have done all that and nothing happened. I had a look inside the screw in bit (bit with the needle) and it is hollow.

Bufflington said he had taken the parts out to clean and would post them, dont think the posting is going to happen.

I unscrewed it all the way (so it came off) and the thing is just a shell with a load of oil at the end where u can tell stuff has been taken out.

Yeah geting the cup was cool as was first time with militia.

Err, the knob looks fine to me, its the valve inside thats wrong!

took mine apart and photographed it, Just realised though, its a Unimount2, I think?!?! The valve in mine looks like this, if thats any help.

Really can't remember the difference, sorry!

Remember all that TinyTim business, the little tw@t is currently getting his behind tanned by Robbo, hope your mate forwarded all the details!

You guys did well, shame you got a man sent off and banned from future events, lol.
