Being both a Baller and photographer myself, I know we all like to see pictures of us playing, and every one always wants to know when the images will be online etc.

But I've started to notice various team sites using images which are clearly watermarked and not offering to make a small link/payment for the use of these images. As a photographer whose work is affected in this way on a number of team sites this has now started to annoy me slightly.

Whats basically causing this annoyance is that said people do not realise they are committing theft of copyright on the images and these are also the first people to moan when a photographer does not attend an event due to him/her/they knowing that for all their expertise, money and time they have spent taking excellent images of the players in question that they will either not be paid for or at the very least credited for their work.

One particular site is currently using 20 of my images with no credit or payment made for these images and will be shortly be recieving an email from myself about the matter.

A simple bit of common courtesy goes a long way and simply asking if you can use the images if you place a link on the site would be acceptable.

I would appricate your comments on this issue.

Yeah someone else i know has had this same problem, Isnt it a copyright infringement so maybe email them if they do nothing you could always take legal action or threaten to take it and get it sorted

i dont think its right that people are doing this as it is exactly the same as walking into a shop and putting somthing in your pocket and selling it next door basically...
