I can't remember where the thread was posted or who by, but if you can use a soldering iron and have access to a Maplins store, for £3 i can explain how to do it?
If no-one posts up the thread, E-mail me and i'll drop you the instructions:cool:

Did you wire it correctly?
If you get the wiring wrong then you only get half the voltage which would make the board think that the batterys flat and the light would stay on?

Did you wire them in sequence,a'la 24 volt lorry/car battery?the light staying on is making me wonder, you may only be supplying 9v's.
Battery rattling is abit sus',they're normally too tight to rattle,my 3 are.
Sorry Diab didn't read you thread I just got up....

I've taken 1 of my eggs apart and taken this picture,it should make the instillation /conversion obvious.
Remove the original batty ting from the board via the plug, cut the wires(2),cut them at the battery end not the plug end for lentgh, and wire the 2 9v leads in sequence as shown, hope this helps:D .
Pic shows lead after conversion, board and original batty connector.
Clompy still bugging me why your batteries are lose..

I'm not sure that's right, I do the halo connectors, isn't it meant to be this?
(minus the top connector itself) (don't flame me I don't know as much about eggs as I do Halos :))
