'sup :)

on my Speed I have been getting some jumps in velocity recently (had a good barrel to paint match & it was still jumping 10+), & I decided to clean the minireg and that. I've cleaned all that, and it's fine, but inside and at the end by the body it's filthy and got bits in etc, but I can't get the foregrip off to clean it.

I've taken this screw off, what else do I have to do to get it off?

Any help appreciated, thanks ;)

There is another screw inside the reg housing itself.

Consult the manual regarding how to remove the internals of the reg, then you will need a long alan key to access the screw inside the reg housing.

Also regarding your concistency problems, have you tried the angel without the evolve LPR adjuster. In my experience the newton valve itself is absolutely brilliant, but the LPR adjusters are quite pants and really let the rest of the kit down... (EDIT I am aware you dont have the valve, but an inconcistent LPR makes an inconcistent gun regardless of the type of valve in it)

Just my opinion mind. But Ive setup alot of Angels and I always end up taking the adjuster off because it causes inconcistency and dropoff...

Thanks I will have a look, I might leave the inside then & just do the minireg itself for now ;).

The LPR adjuster...it was worse before I put it on; it has for some reason got a little better since (a smaller spread over the chrono). Who knows, might just be because I stripped some of the internals & cleaned & lubed it properly when I was fitting all the stuff. There isn't much difference between having it on and off, I've found, and it's not had a neg effect that I can see.
It has been faster, but I think that was probably the hammer alone.

(was the valve the larger volumiser then? I couldn't get it to work at all, no air would pass through it, when I pulled the trigger something (hammer?) was moving inside but it wouldn't fire a shot. I sold it off :()

Its pretty easy to do, but make sure you have the right tools before you start (in particular a long enough alan key, plus I think circlip pliers.)

Strange about the Adjuster making it better, what pressure were you running...

Most of the kits that I setup have been short hammer V2 kits... If your valve wasnt opening it could have been the rod had been bent.

Hang on a minute you arent running the newton hammer with the standard valve are you??

I know you're not meant to, but it was like that before I put anything on (the chrono discrepancies).

Not sure what it was before, never did anything to it before I put the stuff on so supposedly factory settings.
Now; the pressures were exactly as they were in the manual, off the LPR cap, 50 psi

The valve looked exactly like that, was undamaged, o-rings fine, straight, checked it

I had someone who had one of these on their own angels look at it & couldn't find fault with it.

Never mind ;)

I'll get someone to tune it for me, it works amazingly well & haven't broken any paint for months; it has no performance issues with the chronoing and that; it would just be nice if it was a little better.

And I don't have a long allen key, so I'll leave it for now

Hmm thats quite possibly the maddest thing Ive ever heard.

Think of it this way, If the WDP could get away with using such a light hammer with the standard valve, they would have. Instead of the more expensive heavier steel hammer that comes as standard.

I can only imagine what kind of pressure you have had to dail the gun up to to attain chrono velocity... Must be insane!

Good luck with your angel, I hope you get it sorted and if you need anymore help ask... Or try ringing Evolve for advice on using the newton parts.
