That is a gas through grip not a reg. Should just screw off leaving the frm in place.
Need a close up pic of the gas through grip.

You are doing something wrong.
Take a proper picture of what you think the FRM is?
i now know what i have got to get it is a reg adapter to screw into the body of the impy and i screw the reg into that anyone know where i can get or but one
Bingo! The body is likely tapped for a 1/8" NPT fitting (the front block on autocockers and older bushmasters are both tapped for the same size), so you'll need a reg adapter. Should be able to pick one up at a local pro shop.
