think the gent means FRM (front reg mount)

You need to use the impy FRM and attatch your reg of choice to that. If you do not like the standard FRM there are lots of others to choose from.

the hole is not big enough for any other regulator to fit into it

I can assure you that it is. You may have the lower part of the reg still attatched.

With the standard max-flo removed you will have just the FRM with the guage and the relief valve attatched.

i dont have the stock reg on it it doesnt have any dial on it thanks for guilding me in the right direction
