Jim, this has actually been on the cards for some time now and is a long time coming.
There are three main reasons why he had to go :-

a) an unnecessary expense (a very large one at that considering what he actually did)

b) For all his promises of white knight outside sponsors, he actually delivered...none !

c) His departure opens up avenues of communication with the PSP that would have otherwise remained problematic.

The above are in no particular order of importance, and I am pretty sure the order would have changed over the last 6 months anyway.

This move could well turn out to be a key development in the run up to next year with all the rhetoric seemingly discouraging anybody from believing integration will be taking place but all the circumstances surrounding tournament promotion screaming that it should.

Sooner than later, the rhetoric will HAVE to catch up with the circumstances and when that happens, as long as egos are put on the back burner, we might get somewhere.

I think you do Camille a great disservice with comments like this, serious or not. Camille is one of the industry's brighter prospects and will do well given a greater area of responsibility.

Chi, Matski is well aware of Camille's true worth and was in no way disrespecting her, far from it mate. He was beong humorous and not cheap.

And to be honest, I think Matski was actually a little off the mark because Chuck does have great legs ya know ....

As for a wider set of responsibilities bestowed upon her?
Good, the more the better, and in my opinion, it's not so much her undoubted abilities that is paramount here, it's the way the industry and team base view her.

She is seen as pragmatic, fair, hard working, bright and a thoroughly nice person, a rare commodity in Paintball indeed as you well know and I think this augers maybe a new era in the NPPL because if Camille has anything to do with the integration process in any significant form, then things are looking up.
