lol yes I want a cocker... more specifically I want THIS cocker :p

But one like it will suffice!

Is that the 06 Black Magic? Looks nice :) (Just off to check my credit limit  )

2nd hand market is pretty crumby for sellers, though it may reach critical mass so to speak at a point where the people with gats just hold on to them rather than sell them for 1/4 what they're worth. Then maybe prices start to go back up alittle. Untill then supply is ahead of demand so prices will stay low.

Like trenzo said unless the manufacturing market slows down on the making of markers then prices of curent gats wont plummet, but if every year there is a new gun coming out thats significantly better than the old ones then the price will drop!

I also think that on these forums that one desperate person will sell there gat for a ridiculous price, like £180 for a PM5, and from then on all PM5 prices will soon (1 week or so) go down to a price in that range becuase buyers will say "oh thats a bit much i saw one go for £180 last week" then you will get a bunch of hasty buyers agreeing with that one person (so they can get a bargain) then thats sometimes how prices drop so quickly...

But i just think that most tournaments are capped at 12-15bps or ramping, so whats the point wacking out a grand when the 04 or 05 model can reach those BPS standards... and if you want accuracy go buy a nice barrel, problem sorted without forking out shed loads of money.

I think nowadays players are too concerned on looking "pimp" instead of being kind to there wallet and overdraft

Theres alot more factors in a gun than RoF and accuracy.

Size (Compare my big ol' Impy to a A1)
Weight (same example as above)
Popularity (ease of new parts)
The looks (I don't care about them, hence having my Impy)
Efficiency
Probably something else (I forgot.)

I think like you though, my Impy reaches 15 BPS, its good enough for me.
Cheap and reliable too.

One point i feel i have to make about this.

Markers are shooting far more than, lets say 3 years ago. An average year old marker has done 50 - 100k shots, and is well worn by then, and to expect a second hand price of 20% down on retail is ridiculous.

Most gun designs are sacrificing quality for cost, less weight against strength, and just don't stand up to the rigours of modern paintball.

Be honest, would you buy a marker that's had the crap shot out of it for a nearly new price. When i see a one year old marker up for sale, the first thing i look for is the level of the team the seller has played in.

New models each year has had a bad effect on second hand sales, but if we didn't get a new shiney toy each year, we would be the first to moan, eh guys.!!

Catch 22.
