i can see the thinking of the anti-chop bolt and it looks like it would work (lets hope its better than the DART bolt!) however i think the ego still suffers from actually hitting the balls too hard (which is why shockers/DM's are better IMO)

trembholio has a good point, the boltfaces of every ego bolt ive seen are awfull, they dont contour it to the shape of the ball atall so you've got a really small surface area coming into contact with the ball. I have a bolt that a friend made and it has a much smaller chamfer on the top allowing a much larger and more accurately angled chamfer on the boltface, i've only had two chops in atleast 17 boxes of paint with this bolt and it was chopping like feck with the standard bolt in on pretty much the same settings. i think eclipse are focusing too much on the top of the bolt and not enough on the boltface tbh, but thats just my oppinion.

ive been using one of the protypes of this for around 2-3 months i think and so far ive not chopped/broken one ball.
i hadnt really asked Jack the specifics of how it works so i cant really go into detail other than to say that it works a treat!

Any chance of weight or length info or a pic compared to stock or dart bolt please?

One thing I dont like about having orings on the front of your bolt is that when the bolt returns, it can drag dirt and paint back over your eyes.

This is especially true with DMs...

It pains me to say it but I actually like how they do it on the Smart Parts guns (and the FEP Quest) where they have the oring in the body rather than on the bolt.

I am also yet to be convinced about the anti blowback properties bolt-orings give too... I never really had a gun that had much blowback when setup properly. EDIT well I had a spyder that did but their tolerances arent brilliant.
