Ethnicity in paintball??

For the UK the answer is simple

The Black guys good enough to play are in jail, with one or 2 noteable exceptions
The Asian guys and the rest of the Black population are scared to pick up a paintgun because some dumbass cop will probably shot him multiple times for being a terrorist or a gangstar.
Those of us that do partake in this pastime fear the day we get pulled for a minor traffic mistermeanor and the ARU is called.

I'll give you that many people of Asian origin have done well for themselves, but for every succes story, there is a bad story.
But you must agree that on avarage, ethnic minorities just don't fare as well in Western countries as the white majority does. Disagreeing with this is folly.
There are many social and historic reasons for this, but that is not the question being asked here, nor the point being discussed.

Well duh dude, that's because white people are all rich and go to Ivy League schools where they learn how to opress minorities and steal all their money. There's no such thing as poor, uneducated white people. Where you been?

i do like the response about white males having the urge to kill so picking up a paintball gun is the next best thing.

I think that the non whites dont have as much of an interest in paintball when unlike us white males they can do other sports! Most of my coloured friends use up their time in football, rugby or martial arts. I suck at kicking stuff so chose paintball as from too many years of playing computer games whilst everyone else ran around and did stuff i was exercising my fingers!

I know your post was supposed to be sarcastic, but just to make sure everybody understands: I stated that ethnic minorities are under-represented in the higher income bracket. I never stated that there are no whities/crackers/honkeys in the lower income bracket...

Now i don't want this to be taken as a racist thread and i want to clarify that from the outset.

Myself been born and brought up in the Midlands, with a chinese origin and background, i have never in my ballin life felt or heard anyone making a racist remark against me , nor to many of the other asians and other ballers i know of different ethnic backgrounds. This has made the sport appeal to me more, unlike football years back which usually end up in a brawl.

It is just that to me, the vast majority of players are caucasian? correct me if i am wrong someone.

We are in a country populated mainly with caucasians . Even martial arts classes, or any other sports, this will be the norm..
Paintball is not a sport associated just to the western world, there are thousands of venues and players within the far east and other countries.

Maybe the original question should be " why do we not see more players of other different ethnic backgrounds ?"

For a start, i can only give my views on asians.
The life style of most asians living in the UK are usually in the catering business. This normally means working till 2 or 3 am , with only 1 day off a week , which normally is from Monday to thursday, the less bussiest days of the week. Also with such unsocialble hours, they tend to end up in casino's or snooker halls during early hours of the morning. Now with such a clock cycle day in day out, would you think they would bother to turn up at a venue at 7am on a sunday morning , then race back at 4/5 pm to work till early hours again on monday morning ?. Only the very few like myself would be daffed enough to do such a thing.

Its not really anything to do with costs or what car you drive.. or the even so mention scared of being shot by the anti-terrorist police , now that was funny. Its due to lack of days in the week venues open, or tournaments are held.
But then if there hardcore , dont get any sleep before a tournament and having to do a straight 10 hours after a tournament like myself, i would give them respect for that.

Im half Hawaiian and half south african and a woman....(dear lord there really is no hope for me!) and i have not had a problem with paintballing. If anything i recieved a warmer welcome into this sport than any other. That is one of the reasons why i love paintballing so much. I have found an interest with so many people from different creeds and we all want the same thing....to mess up the opposition. I think if paintballing was advertised better in the uk then we would get more variety of people joining in with the fun.
