Hi Guys,
Richie here from Irish-Paintball.net
Paintball is still fairly low key here in the green island and i want to bring it into the main stream. To do this, Irish-Paintball.net is going to host Ireland First ever Paintball Competiton on a real Sup'air field.

If any one has any tips or advice on how to set up and run a small event, ( i recon 10 teams) then please, share them.

email me: admin@irish-paintball.net
pm me here
or sign up to http://www.irish-paintball.net/forum and post a topic.

All help is greatly appreciated. Also, if there are any UK teams or further afield who would like to play in this 'show case' event, then also drop me a line.

Regards,
Richie

Just looked on lrish paintball.net just seen that in irland you need a license how would UK teams arrange either a license or a temperary permit or other.

as far as running a tournament make sure your reffing crew is solid all tournamnets live and dye with there refs. make sure the teams fell valued and not just take the money and run. if you can get a prize package just a couple of cases of paint or some thing doesn't have to be much but it helps the teams fell as if there playing for some thing.

GET DEPOSITS it sounds easy but if you dont take a large chunk of the teams cash up front then the teams have no insentive to turn up if its cold or they dont fell like it or they have a player cancel day be fore so the whole team doen't turn up.

To be honest this would not be a problem. I've been playing in ireland without a license since 1999.

Milky - generally the organiser will have had the feds involved from day one especially as by law the local peeps are suposed to have one. If its a day or weekend event you in theory wont need to get one but that is at their discretion.

Look before you leap

Go and see with your own eyes how these events are run/marshalled before getting involved in anything. There is far more to it than meets the eye.
