I understand your reasons but how can you drop to Div 2 if everything was locked after Madrid??

Surely someone with a decent score in Div 1 who was not going to qualify for next year could drop into Div 2 and generate a better score to get promoted back... Now how is that fair?? Also by dropping this year you could effectivly push 2x teams out for next year who may have been saved by the current scores above them.

I dont know how many teams will be kept in Div 1 next year but take Birminham Phoenix for example (and i say for example) they are currently in 17th place with 512 points.
Just say it was the top 16 that were kept in Div 1 for next year. If they did this they could effectivly win Div2 and be promoted back up.
Do you see my point??

isnt it once the team has done 3 events that its locked for them? as as tigers only have done 1 or 2 they can drop down if they wish?

No I don´t actually - teams keep the points earned in div. 1 when moving down, sure, but how on earth would a team in (as you suggest) 17th place EVER go on and have any chance of moving back up in div. 1 after only playing one event in the lower 2. division? Only the top-3 teams are promoted?!

Makes no sense what so ever!

We would not actually turn around any tables, sort of speak, seeing that we have so little points compared to the other div. 2 teams - actually, going in to Campaign we are only ranked something like 36 (we only have 117 points), so we will get the toughest draw possible (seeing how the draws are made this year)!

Sure if there had also been something with the 2. division being locked after this season I TOTALLY understand how this would not be fair to the other lower-ranked teams (which we are amongst ourselves ranking-wise!) - BUT that´s not untill next year! :)

If this had been done next year, only thing someone like us in our position with theese amount of points would "gain" by moving down, was actually just being in in the danger-zone of moving down one more division into 3. - when being in the 36th spot you have NO chance of gaining anything by moving down!

I used B-Phoenix as an example as they are in 17th place currently. Now if you look at Div2 they would sit in 7th place in touchin distance of promotion again with a good result at CC. So it does make sense as an example.

Well I just don´t personally think so! :)

Again - you wrote that a team could move down in order to get promoted back up - how could we ever do that with only 117 points and 1 event to go?

We are bottom-seeded at Campaign, naturally, and will therefor get the toughest draw possible (as they are made this year) - we are actually most likely to play ALL of those top-div. 2 teams, which are in for a possible promotion to div. 1 - so how is there any difference for any of them, if we get to play them all?

Every team has 8 matches in the prelims - if one game get them to NOT qualify for next years div. 1, well then..... Yeah I don´t know!

And well yeah - I´m actually quite flattered because you speak (well erhm write!) upon us as we are one hell of a team EVERYONE should be scared of playing - play us and you will definately not get to play div. 1 next year! :p ;)

I have not said the Berserks can do this i was purly using B-Phoenix as an example of how allowing this could fail if teams are allowed to continually do this.

You are a new team to this division and have nothing to lose so you may stand a better chance of beating Div 2 teams and effecting their potential promotional points.

And well yeah - I´m actually quite flattered because you speak (well erhm write!) upon us as we are one hell of a team EVERYONE should be scared of playing - play us and you will definately not get to play div. 1 next year! :p ;)
Ive not said teams should fear you (no disrespect meant) but i do feel it is unfair to allow a team to drop down a div so close to the end of the season.

I haven't really come across this before and if there is a rule that allows this then it needs to be deleted.
It just makes a mockery out of any so-called serious league where teams can drop down a division if it suits them .... this is insane !

This is not meant as a dig at anyone in particular as it's a general observation on my part.

So how about this one?

We´re in no position of pushing anyone out from div. 2 - it is not being locked after this season, only after next season! :)

It would be almost the same as saying it was unfair that Dynasty came over for the Madrid-event (seeing it is their only event this year in div. 1) - since they placed in the top, they have effectively "stolen" som points from for instanse Enemy or Dagnir Dae which makes it harder for them to make the top-2 which means CPL next year?!

Not comparing ourselves with Dynasty ! ;)

Oh dear god - really didn´t expect a discussion like this - we followed the rules and therefor expected no fuss what so ever about us playing the last event in div. 2? We are just hoping to get an event better than the previous ones this year, which means a positive end to a season that really hasn´t that good for us! :)
