Like it says does anyone on here use IRC (Internet Relay Chat)?

the program is free to download and very easy to use, what it enables you to do is have a channel to chat in like msn with as may people as you like, but the channels are name like #dynasty, #londontigers and #londonnexus.

so if you need to chat to a team for something just jump into there channel and see if any of they members are online...(as long as most of the team are aboard and idle normally someone will be present, or i could get complicated and you can have a bouncer that logs all private messages ,so when you get back, it shows you whats been said.)

just idea if people wanted to do it

mIrc is a good idea, but if you just set up a channel, a couple of weeks later, it will disapear, they need to be payed for and there is a load of hassle trying to find the channels, because you have to be on the same server to find it, makes things very complicated

Wrong my friend, it doesnt need to be payed for, i have used mirc for years =) and none of my channels disappear as i have a @L in there and i have never paid a penny


Its no hassle finding servers or being on the right server its absoutly piece of pi$$ to use

beer totally correct, you dont have to pay for them just get , i think its 5 ppl in there for 6 hrs and then you can get L, which save your channel.

I'm in #vx, #notoriouskidz, and few others I'll be happy to get L for people if they want to make a channel...just find me in #vx and tell which channel to idle in..

can some people idle in #notoroiuskidz for me plz

I thought mIRC had to be registered eventually? Seems like it "timed out" last time I installed it. I use IRC for finding, how you say, "underground" Xbox apps. For Windows, I use XChat2, it's a completely free build of XChat (an open source linux app).

On my mIRC it says i've run out of my 30 days trial but I can just click continue after a few seconds anyway...

A friend of mine spends wayyyy too much time on IRC so if you need some special things set up on channels I can speak to him

it may just depend on the server your channel is in then, cos the one we use to have has dis-appeared
