Gone crazy, back soon...
It all depends on your point of view.

I agree with what the others have said that if you are aiming for tourney level play then the trilogy will not keep up with the rof of others guns. But as Olly pointed out, they have got the trilogy sf which has an eblade which is more than capable of keeping up.

It depends on how much money you want to spend initially and on upgrades. If you desperately want to start playing now, maybe the Ion is the way to go.......and there is no shortage of spares, ups or help about.

Personally, I'm an Autococker man....I own 3 of them and wouldn't change.

Cheers

you're right the body kit is plasic, as standard, but thats could be a bonus, it's light and if it breaks just replace it with the same (or better) someone on here will have one or two lying around, hell even i have 2 here lol. Mine has a few lil up's like qev and fire bolt, laser eyes, etc etc etc... but thats only been added over time, i started small and built it up.
As for the price, it's well with-in the trilogy prices, if you shop about, my body kit was from the states & was about $100 usd (about £70) inc the reg cover, but if you use your noggin, get the standard ion of the classifieds on here, then shop aroun on e-bay and yank sites, get the imports for less than uk prices.

btw nice ion
ta dude, believe it or not it wasn't that expensive, as i had the mod's parts imported from Canada, Just took time and effort from me lol

dude i had a triolgy comp to start with, it's a nice lil marker for woods ball, but there is no way that a mech marker can keep up on a tourny field, i moved to SP Ion's (so did the rest of my team, and WCU all use them) and to be honest it's the best thing i did, with the small up's on it, it holds up loverly with tomahawk paint.
you can e-blade a trilogy, but it will cost a small fortune, but if you are wanting to play tournys you're better off getting an ion as a starting marker.
As for the comment about them being plastic... mine has a alu bad habitz body on it, and alu reg cover, looks the nuts, and not plastic.
how much did you spend on your ion to get it looking like that?

and as for adding a e-blade to a trilogy you can pick up a e1 for about £40, in fact you can do about any upgrade you can think of to a trilogy just as you can with any cocker.

This is a trilogy of one of my team mates
