A good shop in the south would be Paintball Direct (www.paintballdirect.co.uk) the site is a little outdated but they have lots in-store and is very touchy feely

Some good deals in there, but not always the best advice, be carefull, by ali means check it out, but before you buy check back here for some proper advice, we were all in your shoes once.
thb, I think you'd be better off talking to John/Chris at LiPS (as above) for some good advice, both very nice blokes, and starting out with something like an Ion rather than a Tippman is a fantastic plan, just don't spenf £000's upgrading it, buy a better gat next
I still have a Tippy, and love it to death, but once you switch to an electro you never look back. On hoppers, yes anything is better than a gravity, they suck, even with a slow mech shoota you will find the balls aren't fed fast enough, unless you really are the king of one shot one kill Another good shop in the south is Slothball in Aldershot, email Jamie and let him know you want to call by, higher end gear, but willing to help you out! Or speak to Syd and Mel at Paintball Warehouse, based in Devon, but really good folk and excellent mail order service.

Don't be afraid to talk a deal on a package if you decide on kit from him.
Stay away from cheap electro's,false economy really;2nd hand for markers is the way to go,the rest of the kit,goggs,etc,try and buy new.

aye just barter with the man the shop used to be infested with like a colony of moths and he has recently improved it although it does always look shut. Oh yes teh Just Reading office has gone out of business so thats out of the question otherwise would of reccomened them as well
