PA Round 6 cancellation

Am i the only player p!ssed off that the PA was cancelled and from what i can gather NOBODY was informed??

I understand it was cancelled due to the safety netting not being in place but we arrived sat afternoon and it was not up then. The site or organisers knew saturday that the safety netting would not be in place so why not infrom the teams to let them know?? You have the contact details of the captains, It would have saved EVERY team from still travelling.

I wasted £150 on travel from the south, accomodation etc to be told at 7:30am it was cancelled. I also heard the Jersey warriors flew over for this?? I bet they cant wait for the next round if it is true??

Now we have a 2x day event in September the week after campaign. Thanks for the nice expensive monthe guys and your great commication skills.

I was a bit miffed at this, getting up at 4am, driving for 2 hours only to drive back again and nothing to show for it. Feel for you guys who came a long way.

However, I am in no way defending them on this, although i think they were waiting to see what the weather was like on the Sunday morning before they put the netting up, high winds overnight would have pulled them down if they hadn't waited.
Unfortunately no one is a great weather predictor, i was fine about playing in the rain, but it seemed the wind was still too strong.
Times like this when you could do with a massive indoor arena.

I personally think they should hold it in october rather than a 2 day event.

Or they could just ignore it and give everyone average scores for the leg

I understand that and think back to the Michael Fish Hurricane saga but the wind in the morning was less than your average fart and no one seemed to even contimplate setting up the netting.

I ended up driving to D7s to train on my way home but feel the whole situation could have been avoided and i ended up with a 350mile round trip to Dartford which is normally 110 mile round trip.

all i can say is it wasn't an ideal situation, and the bloody road closure up the road didn't help matters, even though we did a dukes of hazzard over the railway line

Hush, I understand where your coming from as we also drove up Saturday and then drove back to London. We actually stopped by Dave's but ended upo traing at TPC as it's indoor.

You can't really blame them though. Just because the netting wasn't up on Saturday did not mean they couldn't do it on Sunday morning. Imaging if they had cancelled on Saturday and Sunday had been fine. Then you would really be complaing with cause! Sunday morning was too windy to put it up so the called it off. Simple as. Life goes on.

If they had cancelled it saturday then i would not be complaining at all as i wouldnt have wasted the drive and money up there and still played the round next month etc which is my point exactly.

By being up there and feeling that the weather was in no way a factor on sunday is why im p!ssed. Who will reimburse teams like Jersey warriors who supposedly flew over?? NO ONE and does not look good for future teams looking to join this league next year.

Ok ill stop moaning and were all go on our merry ways and pretend it didnt happen.

Sorry to try and prove the point that peolpe like your self travelled when it could of been called off saturday due to extreme weather.
Next time you get short changed at a check out i hope you dont just walk away with out making the person aware they just short changed you.
