Depends,

My WPG Selectfire board was a load of poo, could not get rid of the bounce.

Have recently got a T-board, no bounce, tournament lock plus lots of extras....

1. Semi - Uncapped semi fire. One shot for every pull and release of the trigger.
2. RT (Response Trigger) - Pull trigger in = 1 shot, release trigger = 1 shot.
3. Burst - Fires a 3 shot burst (at max rate of fire setting) with each trigger hold.
4. Full Auto - Full auto fire (at max ROF setting) as long as trigger is held.
7. Ramp - Fully adjustable - rate of fire and ramp cut in.
7. NXL - The first 3 shots are semi then the 4th is full auto at your max ROF. Once the trigger is let go, the 3 shot count restarts.
8. Capped Semi.
9. Nitro - First trigger pull is Full Auto, after that, all shots will revert to whatever mode "after NITRO" is set too.
10. Shot Q'ing - If enabled, when the trigger is pulled and no ball is in the breech, the marker will wait up to ? sec for a ball to enter the breech and will AUTOMATICALLY fire.

Whilst I agree a lot of aftermarket boards are loaded with naughty features no one would ever use;) in a lot of cases they offer much greater control, better code and much improved eye logic. Which is better; a set of eyes that just let the marker fire when the beam is broken or a set that watch for the bolt movement and can self-diagnose a blockage or problem and adjust the settings accordingly?

Yes. but theres no harm done in a private place as long as your not using it against others i dont see why you cant just do it in your back garden or wherever

Oh right I thought that it was illegal full stop. Because it turns your marker into a certain class firearm which is illegal to possess without license or something in UK... Maybe i've just got my wires crossed or something but i'm sure its something along those lines :S

I think an aftermarket board will help to get the best out of your marker, with guns like the ego it would be more worth while than a CCU kit, new anno or even a barrel kit.

People like putting money into there guns, an after market board is an improvement but not always needed. Some markers it more of a benefit than others such as a shocker to get rid of bounce with an aftermarket trigger.
