you can just turn up and you get put into a team

probably not mate, you would have to get in touch with the Tournament organiser before the date and book in, this will probably involve sending off a deposit.

The Genesis (woodland) series does this I think. Check with Steve Bull (Bully on these forums)

The UKM KotH one requires that you book in your team a week prior to the tourney date.

This is done by sending a non-refundable £50 deposit (£10 per player).

It is possible to turn up and get a ame as an idividual though - as most teams are usually lookinf for 'spare' players.
