The Altzhiemers tablets dont work :D

I hardly think it's Alzheimers tho I think it could well be traumatic suppression often see in people who have experienced a deeply disturbing episode after being confronted with something hideous ..... considering what you are suggesting, it does tend to fit the description .... I stand corrected mate :)

I've not followed all of this thread but in response to the first post:

Wouldn't a lot of teams gain more for using the cost of entering such an event to instead do some training? OK, if they have the money for both then fine. But with a choice between the 2, I'd have thought the money could have better been spent on a couple of weekends down at Dartford or up at the northern quarter?

But I agree with the thread title, that it is a disgrace that we don't have more teams entered, but not just because they just haven't chosen to enter, but because are scene is in such a state that they aren't in the right condition to enter.

The issue Robbo has raised is just another symptom of the underlying problem. Granted encouraging more teams to enter campaign may be part of the solution, but the issue is wider that campaign and for any real and meaningful improvement in this or any of the other issues we have, we require a more holistic approach.

Costs of 'balling

Just putting in my two pennies worth. If so many people complain about the cost of paintball tournies why oh why are some people prepared to shell out £100 notes on a set of goggles which are in short supply here in the UK??

Does it enhance their play? No!!
Does it mean that they can play a higher division? No!!

All it does is show that they have money to burn and do they really think that by LOOKING the part they can actually PLAY the part.

Whinge over

Steve - if you read what I have actually written mate I have suggested a holistic solution.
The encouragement of teams to enter Campaign isn't an answer because what I am saying is, teams shouldn't need encouraging; any competitive team worth its salt shouldn't need encouragement to enter the UK's biggest and most prestigious tournamnet, Campaign should be a rites of passage for every serious team out there.

A solution is as Syd indicates on that link in his last post which I think if you do read does suggest an approach that is definitely holistic in that it combines players, teams, sites and industry and you can't get more holistic than that mate.

So, Sunday is here and how many UK teams are through for the 7 man divisional?

2 in Div 1 out of 12 qualifers

2 in Div 2 out of 16 qualifiers

6 in Div 3 out of 16 qualifiers. (Includes a team with a current American Pro player, a team made up of ex Pro players and a team that had two players caught with illegal guns)

UK disgrace it is then!! Best of luck to those who did make it. Especially Kelly's in their hunt for promotion and IronLions as that's me playing....
