Ions run just fine on co2 it is one of few electro guns you can use both air and co2 on.

i have seen many ions run on co2 just fine all you have to be aware of is that the seals inside pill perrish faster on co2 than they would on air thats about the only downside mate.

I run mine on air and would advise air as said above its more consistant and generally easier on the internals.

But dont worry so long as you have an anti syphon set up correctly your ion will run quite well on co2.

if you are running it this way though it may be an idea to get a seal kit or find a shop that services markers.

Hpe that helps mate

P.s
Dont crank your rate of fire up or use ramp modes as your internals will freez i would say set it about 12 a second and you should be fine at that.

Co2 + Ion's + High ROF = Ice block

Whats the point of buying an ion if you are gonna limit the rate of fire becos you are running it on Co2? Why not choose a marker that has a good fire rate and is considered practical to use on Co2.

Co2 kills ion's. It's been said many a time before and will continue to be said. Think of the alternatives when selecting a marker or expect lots of expensive bills for fixing it everytime it freezes up. The worst case scenario wil be when your circuit board freezes and dies.

My 2p worth. (Possibly less).

never ever run electros on co2. it might say in the ion manual that they run on co2 but u think perhaps theyve done that to make the ion more accessible. fair enuff it will run . the question is 'for how long??'. if u like pissin yer cash away then fair nuff but anyone running a gat such as an ion on co2 is askin for trouble. now im sure ur not stupid enuff to follow the advice of 1 person when 10 others say not to.. if ur simply gonna do it anyways then surely the point in posting here was none existant. rant over... i just dont want u making a mistake that will cost u big time.

** correction : never run an electo such an ion or above on co2 **

Guys Ions are fine on co2 you just cant dog the ROF up or ramp it, the guy wants it for the odd rec ball day at that particular site then its fine.

Ions are built slightly differently internally than most markers and are ideal for running on co2 or air whichever .
of course seals are gonna go quicker but that is to be expected with co2.

as for the board freezing thats nonesens and should be disreguarded. i have seen many ions work really well on co2.

Warped paintball even had 2 that they used for group organisers or upgrade guns and they worked really well on co2

i have been on a smart parts tech coarse and have worked on hundreds of guns and never seen an ion runnin on co2 suffer anythin other than perrished seals.

Usually yes the rule is do not use co2 on electro guns .
But because of the way the ion is built it makes no difference other than the ROF and ramp issue.

if you really dont believe me phone smart parts and ask for yourself.

Yes the gun runs better and more consistant on air i agree.
but co2 on an ion will only damage seals over time as it does with any gun.
