will a ion run on co2 if i get an anti syphon tube?

it will, but its best not to run them off co2. especially if ur shooting at 15bps.you dont wanna run the risk or freezing.co2 is a dirty gas aswell,its okay on things like spyders and tippys but not for an ion. best thing to do is get a cheap air tank.
a 3000psi 0.8litre one should only cost you around 30quid 2nd hand.


air also provides you with consistancy so less risk of spiking and as its not affected by temperature you wont see major drop offs in winter.

i know few fings boutr air but the site i use dosent run air for rec-ball

if your just playing rec are you allowed to take the ion?
usually most sites only allow electro markers for walkons

options anyway:

get a dive tank and fill rig from which to fill your own air
go to a site that provides air

not recommended to run electronic markers on C02, always at your own risk and the money you save in not buying air will be spent on seals/orings/expoensive SP parts which Co2 will eat rapidly into

think the dive tank bit risky no sites near me have air i dont think il ask around, im quite keen on the new spyder with the rocking trigger

dive tanks are perfectly safe, well no more dangerous than any other High pressure air related equipment...

i know but dive tanks are expensive i think and wen that runs out where do i get that filed

most major cities have them
you can get a dive tank for as little as £50 second hand ive seen on forums, maybe cheaper at ebay for example

or jsut get c02 and ruin any electro you run it on

i used co2 on ion last month. i didn't know i wasn't supposed to use it. i just bought it and the pball site didnt have any air. i wanted to use it so bad that i ran the marker on co2. i couldn't shoot again after i shot 20pballs? then i waited for 10-15 minutes, it started to shoot again. do you reckon it's damaged or something after i had used co2 few times that day? (i bought the ion on the same day and went straight to a pball site).
i haven't tried firing the ion after that day though. i just read the manual and it said something about anti-syphon tube? do you know where can i get that for my ion? thanks and sorry for asking alot.

Lets put it this way - It won't have done your Ion any good. At all

With an anti-syphon is bad enough, but using CO2 without an anti-syphon is just asking to kill the innards.
