Any thoughts on the differences between the 170r and etha 2 that might make buying a second hand 170r vs a new etha 2 sensible? Thanks

170r has a lot more metalwork, and a lower profile. it also will have a nicer mechanical trigger as i believe the one for the etha2 was a slide trigger instead of a rotating trigger?
also, the 170R has a board with a screen on it, so you get a much easier time of changing settings / having a game timer, getting error codes back from the gun, that in itself is probably worth quite a lot.
Also i think the bolt is in-fact a revision in the 170r which should be slightly gentler / more consistent with paint.

Cool, thanks for that. I checked new prices and didn't realise they were twice the price of an etha 2. Probably puts out of my budget range (new at least)
Hi, actually got a second hand etha 2 and a second hand etek 5, both shoot lovely..Will maybe upgrade to a 170 in a year or two
Why have one, when you can get two? Nice!
I was also considering those two or possibly an older/reliable PE marker (Ego 11, etc) as I recently moved across the pond to the NW area and looking to get back into the sport.
