Attn Admin: Username Change not enabled

Hi Admins

I paid for a username change by Paypal on the 7th and, because there wasn't an immediate option to make the change, I assumed that I would get an email notification when the option was activated. Unfortunately, so such email or notification has arrived and when I went on the forum at the weekend I noticed an Alert from the previous morning saying: "You account upgrade has expired. Please renew now".

Can you advise please as it seems the option to change my username has expired without me even being notified it was available.

I have PM’d an admin previously but got no reply hence the thread creation.

I had actually seen your PM but I'm not an admin. I've added @admin to the conversation but obviously he's missed it. I will get another look today as and when I can. What did you want the name changed to ?

Technically, yes... but in practice, no.

‘Solo’ hasn’t used the forum since January 2011, hence my proposal of ‘Solo.’ - with a full stop.

Many people leave and come back. Either pick a different name please or pm me the PayPal transaction reference and I'll see about a refund being issued.

A quick look at the Registered Members list seems to suggest there is a huge number of registrations where an existing name has been tweaked slightly with various punctuation marks or letter substitutions such as $, -, ~, #, =, +, ", !, *, @ etc.

Which of the following would be acceptable:

~Solo~
-Solo-
#Solo#
*Solo*
$olo
