This chaotic situation ,seems to point to a straight takeover and not a merger as stated. The merger approach could have kept a degree of continuity .Giving players ,refs, and suppliers the chance to "grow into " the NXL mode.People can adapt to something new, even if not popular at it's outset ie M500 .Provided a good amount of flagging up in advance and the chance to digest the changes. The idea everyone wants a US invasion of European paintball is fundamentally flawed. So while all teams come and go ,this buyout and unplanned change may well be the chosen point of more teams to drop out ,at this point than usual .When you also factor in the strength of the domestic championships and their attractive "bang for your bucks " people don't have to choose between Euro involvement or oblivion. So a 30% increase seems a strange opening pitch ,when they are not offering anything 30% better.
