Hi All,

its been many years since i last played (the rainmaker was still cool.. okay maybe not that long ago!!)

Just been reading up with a view to playing again, so many big brands seem to be missing Evil, Angel, Brass Eagle, WGP

Where is PGI?

A lot of the refinements in equipment look great though,

What i cant seem to work out is..

Why the Angel marker platform was never picked up by anyone else when they went under?

How come that J4 torque never took off?

Is Bob Long no longer in existence or did it just change name?

Why is the electro cocker not a thing anymore?

The level of paintball and paintball players over the past years has simply dropped.

Not sure why someone else didn't take over the Angel maybe it wasn't for sale, plenty of other brands to choose from at that time.

The torque loader was never a big hit so just stopped, the loaders we have now though are top notch.

Bob long's company was bought out by F1 (Field One) and now Dynasty owns that pretty much.

The cocker is still about but really only for Cocker fan boys and collectors, all the markers these days are better lighter more accurate.

I guess he was talking about the J4 Torque, which was a (project) marker, not the Hard Corps Torque loader (which, I agree was a garbage).

Cheers for the replies,

yeah I mean the marker did they never get it to market?

Poppets seem to be way less popular than spools now, is extinction beckoning?

Markers don't seem to have much in the way of aftermarket parts either, i guess many markers are too complex to fiddle with electric wise and so well designed there's no need to swap parts anymore!

If the games popularity rises again and there's more money to be made they could bring the name back. That's cool to know

I was surprised to see that the Angel had gone the way of the dinosaurs myself.

Well, they (just two or three guys) are still out there and try to get the guns running they have sold. You will find J4 at Facebook.

The Torque? Well...beside allof its problems it was a nice idea over 10 Years ago but the market evolved over the years. The Torque did not.
