If you're after a MacDev the Clone 5 is a huge step up, again needs cleaning and re-lubing every time to keep it running. If you get one, remember they run on low pressure so you'll need an adjustable regulator on your HPA tank.
To be honest though, for a similar price as the Drone there isn't much that competes with picking up a second hand Geo 3 / 3.5.
Drones are going for the £180 range. Geo 3/3.5 are generally twice that (for good reason).
