OK so hands up all those who take a massive "gulp" when ever you look at your bank account on the Monday after an event, especially if it's mid month or even further!
I'm sure like me, the older ballers out there have families, cars, real lives etc that need paying for and those two special days every month or so are our little luxury that nearly put us on our knees with worry about out if we are gonna make it till payday??
The end result, if we can't afford to play, we don't play!
It would appear that even at the top level, things are slowly dripping dry and the point of saturation is nearly upon us.
"Team USA" have set up a gofundme page to pay for their choofin entry to the Mills at Gatwick!!!! I think the cool kids would say WTAF!!!
Gofundme is supposed to be for people in need, or who are doing events for charity....not for some big head ass holes to get some free paintball cause they think they deserve to be paid for! Greenspan even had the nerve to post a photo on insta with about 20 different currencies and at least a grand in dollars, moaning about his "paid for" jet set life getting a bit much! Oh the poor love!
Is this what it's come to, we now not only have to pay for a subscription to have the privilege of watching these gods on a Web cast that is down more than up, now we have to pay for them to play for their events??
I think these pros need to take a long hard look and get back to reality!!
Disgrace the lot of them and my respect for them all has disappeared

There is a bit of an interesting point though. There is no US Paintball Federation, that would normally handle these things. They easily got funded as well heh.

That, or maybe they just don't like the thought of actually paying to play. Bet your life if u asked them the last time they had to pay a paint bill or entry they would struggle....look at the New Zealand Expendables, a squad of 7 with 4 Dynasty players! I recon this is the first taste of real paintball life and it's left a sour taste, or they didn't get the free entry they were expecting from Mills in the first place, surely paying entry before getting Jerseys printed would have made sense!
I wish I could attend CC next month, I would love to hear the heckling from the Brits!

The pro level players in the states probably have their entry and paint paid for by sponsors (or at least a large part of it) and would probably have expected something similar for the Nations Cup... Except that the team is made up of players with competing sponsors making it difficult to get support.

I do have a little sympathy for the Nations Cup tournament - it would be good for the sport if this was somehow fully funded by sponsors (for all the nations) instead of the players themselves.

I understand that people are annoyed about it, but they simply asked, they haven't forced anyone to give money to them. I think Damian had the right idea with something they posted recently, think of how much these guys have done for the sport and grown it!

remember folks, you always have the option to read something you don't agree with online, and then completely move on with your lives.

I don't see a huge problem with them asking, especially seeing as most pro paintball players will end up begging for change and living under a bridge somewhere by the age of 45.
