Hello everybody,

A friend of mine is having an issue with his CS1 so im looking for some help here...

Issue: The marker turns off eventually... Specially when diving...

The marker was sent to a tech here in Spain so here is a small summary of what he did.

He tried changing the Battery spring... didnt fix it... Then he suggested that maybe the grips were to loose and the batteriers could be shaking inside the grip causing the marker to shut down..., so needed a new ones... After putting some new grips... it didnt work.. the marker keeps turning off...

Now, the only thing that could be causing the marker to turn it off is pretty much the plastic frame where you put the batteries on (im attaching a picture) that maybe is blend somewhere or something... BTW.. When using the tape around the batteries, the marker works fine...

Can this peace be bought? how much is it?

Thanks!

Have you tried different makes of battery, though if it works fine taped up i'd tend to call that a fix.
Well, the true is that we haven't tried other batteries, thats a good one actually....

This is his backup marker and he might be in the need of selling it soon... Just want to leave it perfect for the next owner....

Only reason i suggested that is, in the past i have had batteries that are slightly smaller or larger than standard, it's usually been PP3 type batteries but it's worth checking.

Haven't seen the inside of the front grip of the cs1 but have had success in the past stretching the springs that connect the battery.
