So what's the dirtiest but technically still legal tactic you've witnessed?

A long time ago playing recreational capture the flag, one of the dudes (small old man over 60) on the other team sauntered down the middle of the field towards the player out area. Which was behind where our flag was. No one batted an eyelid at him because we assumed he was out, but as soon as he was in our flag area the flag, he turned and advanced back to his own base shooting out our entire team from the back.

Well, we should have known better because his marker wasn't in the air, but no-one I guess wanted to shoot an old man needlessly 'just to make sure.'

Bonus balling a player kicking off at being shot out, no hand on head- still fair game. Also takes longer to clean up in between points.

Few years ago mind

Had one similar to that where a kid just walked down the side of the game area, again without his gun up and walked straight past up and flipped the flag!

If a player is walking through, the chances are an eliminated player will step around active players to avoid crossfire, and raise their hand as they pass or call out

If still walking through no aggressively it's simple to challenge them and point your gun at them
Call them on it - if they don't confirm they are eliminated or just ignore you then they are fair game - no bonus balling necessary, fire off a typical burst and now they are out

There was the Bobby Dukes incident in the 90s when he wiped. That scandal rocked tournament paintball to its foundations.........

...... I remember now, that was a joke documentary

But in real life paintball there was the one tournament where a player went off to hide in the woods and shot out opposition players from the sideline
