I always like to start these types of threads as there is always such a diverse array of people united in a common sport.

I am Dan from Manchester and I am a Fire and Explosion protection engineer. Deal with various clients one managing their fire risks, explosive atmospheres and I design and implement safety systems to suit their needs.

That job sounds awesome! What qualifications do you need for that? And where do I apply? Haha

I'm Jamie from stapleford (stabbo as it's known around here) it's not that bad actually and I'm a vehicle technician, just posh way of saying grease monkey mechanic! Just diagnose, fix, mot and anything else to do with cars

To be honest, qualification wise you don't need anything specific other than GCSE levels. The industry specific training is what counts and I know plenty of good engineers who haven't got university degrees.

Might do a little research for a career change, getting a bit stagnant in this trade, and need more money... For paintball haha
