Hi, to be honest if you liked the Sterling back in the day, then you'll really love them now. Multiude of upgrades have been made to an already excellent pump , like thruogh the pump dialer, vertical feeds, etc. I own a classic STP and am in the process of building another. I also own a Bud Sniper2, Prostock and Bushmaster. Check out Sterlings website or Facebook page, Mike Taitt is an excellent bloke and I'm sure they can help. We had a pump and pistols day recently and there where many sterlings old and new, all performed very well.

Phantom, sniper (build yourself or an off the shelf offering like the empire sniper) or a sterling as all good options, I play with all three and couldn't pick a favourite between them.

To be honest building g a sniper would run you anything from £100 to thousands depending on picking up the parts second hand, I struggle with pictures on this tablet but there's a couple of me using mine on Facebook:

Mainly recycled parts plus the pump kit that was £50 on here a few years back. @Gee Tee will have more of an idea of the cost of building one.
Cheers buddy.
The link doesn't work ☹

£150-200 would build a decent sniper from budget parts. Complete guns can be picked up for that price too. If you go for CCM spec parts the price goes through the roof, but it is really good quality gear. Avoid the WGP bodies with fixed feednecks because they won't fit many hoppers. Screw on necks fitted to later bodies are much better. One of my favourite WGP bodies to pump is the 2005 pro stock, and can be found secondhand for around £50.

This one has a CCM pump, A/T grip frame, ASA, air fittings and feedneck

That's $292 dollars in parts + shipping

Or if you could look at something like this, a real one off built by Ryan Stanchy in the states ( Google Stanchy Customs and click on Gallery there's a picture of it in there)
Mini'd midgeted, custom front block, custom weighted hammer, pump handle and mid-blocked. All it needs is a decent anno job and it would be top drawer. If you're really interested I might be tempted to part with it, all via theimage.jpeg sales forum of course,to keep everyone happy and within the rules. Imported it myself hoping to get playing pump again but sadly haven't the time!
