Millennium - July 1 - 3rd - Bas Vegas!

So Basildon is upon us again, and I must have missed out last year. At no point did I find a strip of casinos and cheap steak joints, so not sure how the name bas vegas came to be.

Anyway, the layout is out! It's a perfect mirror both vertically and horizontally which makes this fairly unique. Also it's the Snakerito! No Snake side, no D side, snarkerito sides!

People's thoughts on the layout? the location? Whether or not we'll be back next year?

Apparently the Google tells me that the festival fun park, basically the giant parking lot with the nando's, cinema, and bowling alley...is Bas Vegas...wtf.

Bitburg had a 2 side snake couple of years ago .But since pins surround the Wario ,the field characteristics are pretty much the same..With less than 1 month to go and outside the locked divs (containing 4GB teams) only 3 teams from these shores have signed up.With many Euro teams not making the journey,the signs are'nt great.

The field is a bit of a mindf*** when you first start playing it, especially when you swap ends. Teams seem to be basing their calls either with snakeside on the pitside or Left/Right.

Teams are doubling up or running a delay in the back centre and trying to force one side with an extra gun, but there's plenty sticking to a mirrored setup too.

I'm pretty sure Topcats are going to enter - they've played Barcelona and Bitburg already this season.

We'll have at least 2-3 teams entered. Just waiting until CPPS this weekend to discuss details.

Also Team USA will be entered into the Nation's Cup at Basildon!
Not sure who's on it, other than Archie, and Scott Kemp wants to be on it heh...since he'll be there playing for a Div 3 team.

I just saw that on pbn, a few "dream teams" turning up in the thread already with the likes of Lang, Greenspan, JRab, Stanzcak(sp!) and Goldman. I wonder if Canada will put a team in too.

Archie is in, Archie, Greenspan, JRab, Mouse, Dave Bains, and Raney would be an incredible first line.
