Tippmann98 not shooting over 230FPS.

i have a tippmann 98 , and i have had it for over 8 years now . i hadn't used it in a long time , but i always kept it lubed and serviced . i took it out the other week for a game , and it couldn't get over 230 FPS. no matter what i tired . im shooting with HPA . i was wondering if maybe i should replace all the internal seals ? any help would be appreciated .

Strip it down and look at it

We have just had a guy return to the game after 5 years and get his BT Delta out of the shed, the lube had turned into paste. With a strip down, clean up, Polish and rebuild its now as fresh as its first game - the orings were fine !!!!!

Check how it is inside and proceed accordingly

Is your detent okay, if they are left with the bolt forward it can flatten it, but if they're left with the bolt back your mainsprin will go soft, either could reduce velocity.

Dude replace the hammer spring. More likely culprit than any seals in the gun.

If your detent is pushed flat just remove the feedneck and pop it up with something pokey before a days play.
