The march timing in fact fits in with some other industry awards

Eg the Oscars are typically at the end of February to March
And with regard to remembering games in the season etc look at the odd qualification periods in the oscars - categories closing beaten July and October. Produce a film in the first category 7 to 8 months before the awards and you don't qualify until the year after

In paintball there are seasons, and when the scenario awards began there weren't many scenarios throughout the year
Now there are regular scenarios from February to December, after the tournament season comes the winter tournament leagues
If people truely want the opportunity to vote against a full year at the end of the year then this gives that opportunity - both for events that took place in 2015 and the chance for winter leagues of November to January to go in with the results

It was called for that the ukpsf run the awards
Without alignment to their schedule there will be no paintball awards

March, for a Tournie player spells ,kit deal ,CPPS and Mills round 1 with airfare (Puget/Spain ) .With Bitburg and CPPS2 coming 4 weeks later ,putting another bill at the front end of the year seems counter productive. The November /close season puts the cost at the "light" end of the year. The Winter series are varied and only really trigger time .

You could always have the votes online at the end of the year, say the first two weeks of November ? Limited time voting. UKPSF members number system perhaps ?
Then have the awards ceremony held centrally ( eg. Birmingham ) end of November just before the busy festive season, or between January and February when paintball is normally quiet ?
