Hello Paintballers,
I am new to this forum so apologies if I'm not posting in the correct section etc! Please direct me...
I'm a TV Producer from London and working on the Channel Four Investigative Journalism Trainee Scheme.
Each year, we have four up and coming filmmakers take part. They’re talented, quite experienced, and great journalists. They can all film already – but we are teaching them how to shoot with better, more complex cameras in more challenging scenarios. Paintball seemed like a good event to film, to give them a wide variety of filming opportunities in an exciting but fundamentally safe environment.
Ideally, they would each film one person over the course of one or two days of a paintballing – either one-off matches or a mini-tournament. These could be games that were being played anyway, or matches held especially for training. The players would be filmed playing, and also giving interviews about why they play paintball and what the specific objectives are of each game.
Each trainee will make an individual six minute film and would need to be in touch with the person they were filming a couple of days before the match was held.
The films are not for broadcast but we would be happy to give you copies of the final films. I’d like to stress that the filmmakers would not get in the way of the players or interrupt game play. It should be really fun so let me know if any teams are up for the challenge!
The dates we are thinking of are as follows:
Best wishes,
Harriet (hrose2015@outlook.com)

The dates we are thinking of are as follows:
- Thursday 19th and/or Friday 20th November - Filming with players about the upcoming match.
- Saturday 20th and/or Sunday 21st November - Filming the match.
