So heres some ammo for the big guns and creditors who wish to sink barnett.

Shoreline was a Limited company yes, however the director can be held liable if the court believes him guilty of wrongful trading, that is, he knows the company is up **** creek, but fails to take all the steps needed to minimise the liability to his creditors.

Likewise, you can put an official complaint into the insolvency service, and have him disqualified from being a director.

I think there are 'things' already in the pipeline ...... if I was one of that scrum-bag' s creditors, I wouldn't like the thought he was using my money to provide working capital for his new incarnation of shoreline, I'd feel kinda pis$ed :/

If he has moved things to another company before winding up shoreline, that would indeed be very bad for him....

He claims via some random FB poster, that everything is fine and this is a result of a divorce settlement, and having to break up the company to split it between the husband and wife. That MAY have some bearing on things, but in the end. He's still shady, and I wouldn't go near him, his products, or his events.

Money movement between a company that's been made insolvent and any phoenix company leaves a paper/digital trail .... unless he used cash.
He would have cashed out as much as he could from the old shoreline and used that cash to set up and provide capital for the new one ... it's as cynical as it is despicable because barnett is cheating the only people left in the industry who trusted him in some way.

But to fuhk Gino over is something you really need to carefully consider - tb obviously believes he's untouchable and elected to cheated him along with the rest of his creditors - that was not such a wise move.
People don't like being shafted in such a cynical way ...
The very thing barnett would most dislike, is for me and the rest of the guys in this thread to have any more ammunition to use against him - this latest move by him has to be for one of two reasons, he's either desperate or oblivious to potential consequences.
Metaphorically, his days are now numbered.
You need cash-flow to run a business and it's merely a matter of time before he's run out of suppliers and/or customers ... his new shoreline incarnation will not survive the test of time because his cash-flow, or rather lack of it, will prove to be his downfall ... and when that day comes, we can flush the toilet and be rid of him.
He has nobody else to blame other than himself though I'm sure he will tell his bunch of haemorrhoid sycophants that he's been picked on by the big boys and he's a poor poor victim.
We've heard that line again and again over the years ....
The truth however is glaringly obvious - he ran out of people to cheat - all he has left now is to cheat his customers in an effort to reclaim as much cash as possible before he pulls that final plug.
I was right about him all along and I will be proved right about my final prediction - he will take money in for future events and when he's got what he thinks is the most he can get, he will make an announcement that he's folded, yet again.
And for all those people who've stood by him and will end up being cheated out of their entry fee, I have little sympathy, it's not as if I didn't warn them though I'm loathe to say they deserve it.

Here was one of the 'responses from those involved'

Shoreline is made up of many different companies. One of which today ceased trading. This was as much to do with the two owners of the company divorcing and splitting shares as anything else.

All of the other companies remain unchanged including all of our events operations which are run by a completely different company to the one which today ceased.

Literally from a players point of view, we are sitting at the same desks, running the same events, with the same website and same logo's. We just returned from running an event on the weekend and our next event is Stargate.

Some of the internet drama guys will try and make a deal out of it and claim players will be effected - its nonsense. We tend to ignore internet nonsense like that.

See you at Stargate.

Lee, I don't believe that announcement he made about his marriage - the timing is too suspicious with what's now come about.
I don't know about other people but if I were getting a divorce, the last thing I'd do is make a public announcement on FB or wherever.
I think he's in the process of arranging the pawns to try and ensure all loose ends and liabilities are taken care of in case certain actions are taken by the people he has cheated out of their money.
He knows damned well there's a strong possibility that Companies House will be have to get involved and that comes with various legal actions from his creditors and the law of the land.
If they do get involved then he had better make 100% sure he's tidied up behind him because in my experience, there's always something that gets left undone ... and it will be that omission that will leave him prone to any legal actions.
I wouldn't like to be him in the next few months because he's gonna be looking over his shoulder or waiting for the knock on the door.
Will he be able to squirm his way out of it?
Probably not in this case and I say that because of the circumstances he has left in his wake .... there's just too many people who've been cheated by him, too many people who have been made to look a fool .... people don't like that !!!

I'll bet all my money on this being his exit strategy... And the people who's money he takes, will deserve it after all the warning bells!
