Probably a dumb question, but can you listen to music whilst playing paintball?

I wouldn't for various health and safety issues. Communication is also a massive part of the game and if you've got your iPod plugged in your not going to hear your team mates.

If you want to win and be safe don't listen to music!

never played personally but i once played battlefield sound effects over the PA system surrounding the field at a place i used to work at years ago. worked out pretty well!

That sounds pretty cool! Shame I don't have the means to do something like that.

The problem with listening with earphones is the inevitable loss of hearing with sounds around you. Unless you're playing solo you need to hear, and if you're playing so you need to hear your enemy!

It would also be a major H&S risk - imagine someone loses their goggles and you don't hear the shots to stop firing...
